2008 July 21 (Monday): Johannes Anderson Family Reunion

4:00 PM Registration at the Family Reunion Center
4 - 6 PM Games, Races, Family History Displays, crafts
6 PM Pot luck dinner
7 PM - Introductions, Family by Family. We will register you and introduce you by your Anderson ancestor: Christina, John, Henry, Edward, Charles, Caroline, Hannah, Joseph, Thomas, Orson, Eliza, James, Samuel, Annie, Mary, Moses, Effie, and Attena. This makes 18 families. We will combine these introductions with a program, introducing two families, then having one number on the program. If you have any ideas for program numbers, please let me know.
This reunion is being hosted by the Tom Anderson family. I have no idea how many people will show up. Ten years ago the Thomas Rowell Leavitt family had a reunion in Leavitt, and over 2,000 people came. Please e-mail me to let me know you are coming, or if you are interested in co-ordinating family research efforts, or if you know someone I can contact. Dear Family,
It has been more than 20 years since we had our last family reunion for Johannes Anderson's descendents. I know at that time we decided to have our reunions in separate family groups for each of Johannes' children, and some of us have been more diligent and enthusiastic about holding these reunions than others. Now, with the roll-out of the New Family Search, it would be helpful if the family could get together again to facilitate communication and sharing of Family History work.
Please pass the word on to anyone you know who is part of this family, or who would like to attend our reunion. I would like at least one representative from each of our 18 families, and I'm hoping that some of you will be represented by 100 persons or more. Please contact me if you are planning to attend the reunion, or if you would like to share genealogical information.
